Hello
welcome to my little crafting place!
Today I've the first of my May club projects for Spellbinders to share and as it ties in very nicely with the Daring Cardmakers theme this week I can share it there too
It's the first Friday of the month and time for our
Monthly Sentimental Challenge;
The theme for May is
WELL DONE!
it's all about giving a 'pat on the back' to those who've worked hard and deserve some praise
Graduations, the end of school year, exam results, and other reasons too.
Create anything you like cards, tags, postcards or 3D project and share them with us!
I've used dies from the May Small Die of the Month to make this card
The cream background panel is embossed with the Scribbled Letter Embossing Folder which works well for a card with school/college theme, I think. The apple is super-cute! I cut it from plain white card then inked using green and red before giving it a coat of glaze to make it shine. I added the graduation cap from the die set and made a little scroll from vellum tied round with very narrow ribbon
I made a 'wobbler' attachment using thin wire and punched circles glued it to the back of the apple and then to the card itself.
Here's a video of the apple in motion
I love the book dies. You get three book shapes and several word layers to use with them - but it would be easy enough to make your own book titles with a set of tiny alphabet dies, stamps etc
Red card blank
- you can use it to access the store whenever you buy from SpellbindersIt doesn't cost you anything, but I may get a little reward for pointing you there. There's
a UK based shop now, so you can use the 'Visit Our UK Store' button at
the top right of any page on the Spellbinders site
Thank you so much for coming by
