Pink Roses

Hello

welcome to my little crafting place!

Today I'm sharing my card for this week's Daring Cardmakers challenge and it's back to a favourite cardmaking component for this one!

Roses and Honeysuckle
June's birth flowers are roses and honeysuckle.
The rose is a classic symbol of love and romance, while honeysuckle is known for
its sweet, fragrant blooms.
We'd love to see your creations using one, or both on your cards, tags, postcards or 3D projects this week
- and don't forget to share them with us!

My first attempt went very wrong, so I saved the fan and the roses and the rest went in the bin.  Thankfully my second try went better and I'm much happier with this one

I went with an old favourite digi download for the background - when in doubt go with the tried and tested! My roses were made using a couple of shades of pink Bazzill card and my favourite die set for rose making.  It was a beautiful Spellbinders set with has 6 sizes of the same flower shape so is fantastic for something like this - sadly its no longer available and for some reason I didn't write its name down when I put it in my dies folder.

The flower dies may be old but the fan is brand new - a beautiful May die release from the Spring in Kyoto collection.

I've not been feeling very chirpy over the last few weeks, but doing a spot of flower making is a gentle and calming activity and as its a long time since I made roses it was lovely to spend a few hours making these (and a few I didn't actually use here)

The leaves came from another old die set, the sentiment was pc generated and the finishing touches were the pink twine bow and some pink pearls

I used:

from Spellbinders
Fan & Bow Etched Dies (Spring in Kyoto)

Multi sized flower die set die set (currently unavailable)

Leaves are also from an old set (currently unavailable)

Other:
Digital download paper
gold. black and pink card
pc generated sentiment
pink waxed twine bow and a few pink pearls
