Party On, and On

 Hello

welcome to my little crafting place!

Today I'm sharing another card for this week's Daring Cardmakers challenge

Fête and Festival

It's the Fete and Festival season!
and among many other Summer favourites, this weekend the famous Glastonbury Festival will be in full swing. Will festival go-ers be knee-deep in mud this year or reaching for the suncream and suffering from heatstroke?
This week get happy, sunny, and fete/festival-ready with colourful, celebratory flags, bunting and/or music on your projects.

Create anything you like - cards, tags, postcards, 3D projects this week
- and don't forget to share them with us!

This is a really simple card!

The background is stencilled with a music notes stencil using different vibrant ink colours. I cut it into 3 panels and matted these onto a piece of light gold card before adhering this to a purple card blank.

The sentiment is from a very old set by Spellbinders which has 4 different words each on a narrow line. I cut it from yellow card. Next I inked some scraps of white card and hand cut the bunting shapes, glueing the top of each piece to the reverse of the yellow line.

I thought it needed something extra so glued a length of pinky-red ricrac brais over the top.

I used the stencilled piece because it was already on my desk, but really, this is about a simple layout and could be adapted to use other patterned or plain coloured paper.  Any word for a greeting could be used, sitting on a thin strip of card and decorated with bunting like I've done here - or use a piece of twine to make loops under the line and add hand-cut bunting to that instead.

I used:

Purple card blank
White and Yellow card
Stencil and small ink pads
Old die set from Spellbinders
Ricrac braid
