90th Birthday

welcome to my little crafting place! 

Today I'm sharing the  card I've made for a very special lady's 90th birthday.  Growing up, her family and ours were very close and my whole life seems to be full of memories of ridiculous situations and so much laughter, the sort that makes your tummy hurt and often has you rolling on the floor!  I'm so thankful for all of it.

I've been itching to use one of the slatted die sets from the wonderful Craft Aaddiction uk so this was my starting point for this card. 

Do check them out - their dies are innovative, inspiring and fantastic value for money.  It's really nice to support a 'home-grown' company - and if you're in North America or Australia you can still get your hands on these dies as they have suppliers on board there too so you don't need to miss out!

 

 

I made a set of mini wax seals a few weeks ago using gold and black wax and wasn't sure what to do with them, but this card gave me the perfect opportunity. I added green into the black and gold colour palette, which I think is quite a stylish mix.

 

The gold card behind the slatted oval has a hint of glitter in it - I used the same card for the numerals and some of the leaves
