Stacking Dishes

Hello

Wishing you a big welcome to my little crafting place, thank you so much for coming by!

It's been a tricky start to the year for me in several ways and whil;st I've sat at my desk numerous times, tha's as far as it gets.

So I thougjty I'd share something my Hubby has made for me with his new 3D printer.

When I'm die cutting small items for a project and maybe need the little pieces in a variety of colours, I usually have a big die-cutting session and cut all the dies in different colours in one go. This tends to mean a lot of small die-cuts that easily get lost. So to try and keep them under control I pop them into whatever small containers (like old glue-pot lids) I have to hand

But now I have these!

You can see my pile of tatty old lids on the top left of the photo

I asked Hubby to make a set of dishes that will stack together. and chose a few colours and finished from his already expanding filament collection

The stacking dishes are about 8cm diameter, some are about 1 cm deep, others about 2cm. The current stack is about 8.5 high

He made a lid too, and here's how they look all stacked together - much better than those tatty lids which kept falling over. don't you think?

Barn Star Ornament

 Hello

Wishing you a Happy New Year and a big vwelcome to my little crafting place!

It's been a tricky start to the year for me in several ways so I'm just hoping things will improve from now

This time I'm sharing a 3D project made using the lovely

Barn Star Wreath die set.

I made this dimensional star with back to back layers of the plain star cut in turquoise glitter card and 2 of the fancy stars cut in silver and folded to make the dimensions, I glued one silver shaped star to each side of the turquoise star

I added a few poinsettias, some holly and a die cut bow to each side so that if it swings around it still looks decorated!

 Materials

from Spellbinders;

Poinsettias and leaves from several Spellbinders sets

 Other
Turquoise card glitter
Silver card
Various scraps to make embellishments
