I've been playing around with stencils quite a lot on this card, as not only are the bikes stencilled, but the horizontal stripe, and the rectangular 2nd layer are also stencilled - and then I added a bit more to add interest to the sentiment piece.
Info:
By first stencilling the bike shape onto an all-over sticky post-it note and cutting it out, I made a mask so that I could them stencil the bikes one behind another in different colours.
The bike is just one of the elements on this
stencil: Paris Holiday - Claudine Hellmuth
Once dry I cut around the whole shape and added a silver brad to each wheel
The yellow chevrons for the horizontal stripe and sentiment, plus the border design used to create the rectangular shape are from
this stencil: Hero Arts: - Stylish Borders
I just stencilled the design again and again in black ink until I had the size rectangle I needed, then added centres to each circle with
a silver pen to look like wheels!
I die cut the pale blue oval and embossed with a chevron embossing folder (Crafter's Companion).
I just wish I'd used yellow for this bit, but too late now....
The sentiment was pc generated, trimmed down and the yellow
stencilled bit added
