I'm not sure why, but since I started making cards I've tried to make something a bit different for my favourite cousin - it's probably because he always puts so much thought and effort into finding the "right" card (usually humorous) for everyone else. So over the last few years there have been cards featuring pizzas, jaffa cakes, archery (he's given that up now though), and Doc Marten boots. He pretty much always takes the day off work and spends the day doing as little as possible and ignoring the whole birthday rigmarole as much as he can - can't understand it myself, but he's never liked birthdays! So that's the sentiment I've gone with this year for his card
Papers BG Periphery, green/brown ribbon from stash, faux brads
character cut with oval punch, fibres for hair, tiny googly eyes
We welcomed a new addition to our family recently when another of my cousins and his wife celebrated the birth of their first child. I made another easel card, they are such fun to make, but aren't they a nightmare to photograph? I probably didn't make it any easier by suing the soft pearlescent "Satrdream" card to make it with.
The pram is made using a punched circle with a section cut away for the body, punched circles and flowers for the wheels. It's trimmed with lace, satin ric-rac and silver brads.
I cropped and resized a photo which I then cut out with a circle punch to add to the hidden section of the tag.
Also used:
Wide gingham ribbon, satin ribbon, buttons
MS border punch, Nesties scalloped circle dies, Cuttlebug tiny hearts embossing folder
various plain circle punches, small daisy punch
"congratulations" and flower centres are cut with the Craft Robo
