October Elemental Inspiration

Hello!

Welcome to my little crafting place! Here's where I share the things I've been making, and sometimes other bits of waffle!
Today I'm sharing the card I've made for this week's Daring Cardmakers, which was set by Nat. On the first Friday of each month one of us chooses a picture, or mood-board and then we choose a few (minimum 3) 'elements' from it to inspire the cards we make.  Those elements can be pretty much anything from the colours or layout to the smallest thing you spot in the picture!!
Here's what Nat said;

 October Elemental Inspiration

If you've been wanting to get your autumnal crafting into gear, or just fancy featuring some autumnal elements on a card for any occasion, then this challenge is for you.

The image I've chosen for us to work with features plenty of those:

All you need to do is pick three elements to use on your card (and remember, colours count as one combined element).

See what we made here

I used the rectangles, the colours, leaves and the Initial (typewriter keys)

After a bit of a false start (put it down to still having a bit of a 'Holiday Head') I decided to print some paper from a lovely digital download I bought a few weeks ago.  Ay first I was going to add a single panel for the background, but then I looked again at Nat's picture and thought it might be more interesting to use the rectangles as one of my elements so I cut some of my printed card and arranged them on a brown card blank.
My lovely cousin gave me a set of alphabet seals for my birthday so I thought this was a good opportunity to use one of them - and get ahead for a birthday later in the year. I melted a few colours of wax beads to get a nice Autumnal colour then after stamping the initial I highlighted it with gold pen
The leafy sprigs (die set by Spellbinders) were some I already had, saved from another project and I also hit lucky when I found the sentiment in my bag of ready-printed ones!
