Over the last few weeks I've been using the latest flower kit from Creative Treasures, aptly named "Parma Violets" and full of beautiful flowers, ribbons, buttons, etc in pinks, mauves and blues, plus some other little tempting treasures that Tracy always manages to include. I realised this morning that I've neglected to show all the cards I've made on here so thought I'd better put that right!
I've used loads of things from the kit on this card. I made the three layered paper flowers using various of the blooms. The pretty jewelled centre of the middle flower is included in the pack, and I've glittered one of the buttons and topped it with a pink flat backed pearl for the flower on the right. The first flower has one of the wired aster flowers from the kit in the centre, I nipped off the original centre and added a pink gem instead.
The beautiful metal flower is actually a bead cup - I was going to use it to thread one of the bigger wired roses through on another project, but found that it didn't really show up how pretty it was used that way. So instead I took courage in both hands and started tapping it with my hammer until it lay flat. The loops allowed me to thread one of the gorgeous leaf charms from the kit (I do love these charms!) on to it. I found a pink gem brad in my stash which was just perfect for securing all the bits together.
The flowers, ribbon and buttons on this second card form part of the Parma Violets kit. The Card Candy is also from Tracy's shop and is so fab to use as although I didn't have exactly the colour I needed, I could just pick the one closest and add the right shade with pens or ink pads.
The frame is made using Nesties dies and the sentiment and little flower picture are more from the stickers sheet I made a few weeks back
This third card didn't quite turn out as I'd planned, but that happens sometimes! The papers are from Fancy Pants and work well with the blue and pink flowers in the kit.
I've clipped the central corners of the card with a Zutter Round it All, then used the corner punch from one of the MS All Around the Page punch sets - I think I should have added a tiny glimmer of glitter to the flowers on this one.
I really like the way it's easy to use Tracy's flowers with whatever is in your stash already, and that adding paper with other colours in their designs bring a new look to the flowers.
Do check out Creative Treasures and see all the "pretties" that Tracy's got in stock at the moment - lots of temptation to be had!
That's it for today, I hope the sun is shining where you are - we even managed to sit out on the patio on Saturday afternoon - makes you think that maybe Spring really is here (at last).
I'll be back soon - I've still got more makes to share
You are the most prolific card maker and user of flowers and so damn good at it all the time! They're all lovely. Hope the sunshine has helped you 'up' a little this weekend.
