Buzz Buzz

Hello
It's been a while!  I have been making stuff, but not getting much blogging done. Plus we had a few days away last week, we went up to Northumberland and spent a few days with family.  It was such a treat, the weather was good and we were out and about every day; up in the hills, along the Roman Wall, on the beach and various other favourite outings.  Bliss!
I definitely intended to make my card for the Daring Cardmakers on the Thursday, ahead of Friday's lunch date, but things conspired against me and it's taken till today to actually get something made.
Busy Bees
It's Enfys here setting this week's challenge: use anything related to bees on your project - it could be a honey pot, a hive, or just a busy little bee buzzing around some flowers.
To be fair, I did actually start to make something at the w/e, but it was a bit of a disaster; there were mutilated corpses of several bees on my desk and a whole load of 'honeycomb' backgrounds, shapes and die cuts which I'd rejected!
Even this card has a bee pulled off another attempt at creating something - I had no idea it would be so hard!
So here it is, I'm still not happy with it, but if I don't post something soon I might as well not bother - and that would be a big DCM fail, which I hate to do!

For the bee I cut the bee several times. 1. for the body; white card, coloured orange, then the black stripes added, 2. Silver paper for wings which were then cut away fro the rest of the die cut shape. 3. Complete bee cut in black  for adhering other pieces to
Tiny silver gems
