I enjoyed taking part in the last one, even though the RM were so tardy in delivering my card that I actually made a second one - then both arrived within a day of each other (of course.....!)
The cards are send out "naked" - no envelopes to protect them so it means being extra careful with any "stucj-on" bits, and obviouslycutting back on sticky out bits that might get caught up and ripped during the card's journey. This is the hardest thing for me; projects with no dimensional bits are a tough ask hehe
Here's the card I made to send to Tracey
Materials and Tools
Background inked with a couple of shades of Distress Inks
Papers MME
Scraps of Bazzill card in lemon, peach and pink
Wrapping for the tulip bouquet is hand cut
Tulips are made using Memory Box "Tulip Buds" die set, stems and leaves are hand cut
Bow is hand cut
Oval Doily is a MFT Die-Namics die
Tiny punched butterflies
Tiny clear gems (all but one survived the postal system)
Quotation is pc generated.
I used bookbinding glue to stick all the pieces onto the card and made sure they were all stuck firmly by placing a piece of non-stick paper over and then rubbing over firmly between adding the various layers to check they were stuck down safely! yes, I'm paranoid.
That's all for today, Thanks for visiting
A lovely post card, Kathy. I am enjoying seeing all the post cards people have made.
ReplyDeleteI'm so please you take part in the postcard swaps - it would be easy to say "my style doesn't fit" and I reckon you prove that your style is adaptable enough to fit perfectly! This is such a cheery card, perfect for the theme!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful and perfect for the swap Kathy. Your quote did make me smile :D x
