I thought I'd make him a giant iphone5 birthday card to match! Here it is posing with my own iphone4 (I might have to start whining about needing the new model now...)
Most of the icons are fairly simple when you look at them, and similar versions can be found with a quick google image search - a little bit of tweaking in Paint Shop Pro and they are ready to cut on the Craft Robo. For some I was able to convert PSP Pre-set images (such as the phone, text message and music notes) which was even simpler. Some I just drew on the squares. The "Photos" icon on the phone is a sunflower - so as I had a wired, paper sunflower in my stash I thought it would be fun to use it on the card for a little bit of extra dimension.
When I ran out of ideas - or should that be couldn't remember any more, of the apps on his phone I just added a few squares with tiny punched hears on them
Materials and Tools:
Plain Black Bazzill card for card blank and top layer of "phone"
Bazzill Bling Black card for the screen
Lots of bits of card from my scraps box for the app icons
Paper sunflower
Gel pens, Glossy Accents for "camera" lens
Craft Robo; iphone template and most of the app icons
Punches; tiny heart.
I've loads to do today, so I'm keeping this short you're probably pleased to hear.....
So, that's it for today, thanks for visiting - please leave a message :)

ReplyDeleteEven with using the robo Kathy that is some fiddly card to make. And what a great job you have done too.
