The Good Housewife, circa 1955

Just a quick early morning posting because this I have to share....
Oh, I do hope this shows up enough to read on here. One of my SiLs has just sent this aericle from a 1955 issue of Good Housekeeping magazine. I won't tell you the words she used to describe it's contents, but I think you'll get an idea of what they were when you read it! Clicking on it will bring up a bigger version.

Someone's kindly underlined some bits, whether in agreement or disgust I'm not sure, but I can guess!
