It's a beautiful morning here, lots of sunshine and lovely Autumnal colours.
It really lifts the spirits when the sun shines, doesn't it?
As usual Friday is Daring Cardmakers Day and Nat's challenge was a shiny one too!
Sparkle and ShineI want to see you feature plenty of Sparkle and Shine on your cards this week.
You can use bling, everything glitter-related including paper/tape/embossing powder/ink/paint/paste, foiling, reflective accents, and even tinsel trim.
Just make sure your project sparkles and shines!
I had a lot of fun making this one!
Trying to get a decent photo - not so much fun, so I'm sorry, the photos don't do the card justice despite our best efforts -I had to call on OH's photography skills as my own attempts were rubbish!
Is it possible that you can actually have too much shine and glitter......surely not!
Info:
Silver Stardream pearlised card base (PDA Woodward)
Deco Art silver foil. Cracked Ice Glitter (Imagination Crafts), Gilding Flakes (IndigoBlu)
Textured silver paper for top layer of the letters, Grey Bazzill for other layers.
Star die (Sweet Dixie)
I started by making a foil border by 'using a thin flow of Glossy Accents directly from the bottle to draw a couple of thin, wiggly lines around the base card.
When this was tacky rather than wet, I placed a sheet of Deco Art silver foil over the whole card and rubbed down for a minute before lifting it off to leave the foiled lines on the card.
The letters are cut on the Silhouette. 3 layers of card letters, glued together then topped
with the fancy paper layer
The star was cut in a scrap of silver card. I covered it with a thin layer of glue then added the Gilding Flakes. Once dry I added more glue and sprinkled the Cracked Ice Glitter over it.
Now it was just a case of putting it all together, adding a few extra bits of the Cracked Ice Glitter around the star and a small silver gem to it's centre
That's LOT of Shine and Sparkle!Such a shame it's impossible to get a nice photo :(
Anyway, I hope you get the idea.
Thank you so much for visiting today, I really hope you'll join in our challenge this week, it would be just great to see what you make.
